Chennai, IN. 28th, June 2013 – AEL Data announced today that The National Archives (TNA), the official archive of the UK Government, for England and Wales, has selected its bid for provider of transcription services alongside 3 other suppliers. The services will be rendered on needs basis to TNA for a period of 4 years for their extensive collection of medieval and old hand-written transcripts.
AEL Data will be working on the scanned images of the original manuscripts and archival documents, to extract handwritten data as electronic text. This type of transcription will bring together the competence of AEL Data's in-house handwriting experts for manual transcribing and its sophisticated infrastructure that is required to execute such a critical task. Along with the text transcription, other associated data fields found in the digital images will also be extracted and indexed as per TNA's authority standards. This will ensure that the transcribed data reflects the original archival hierarchy of the records from TNA.
The robust Information Security Management System (ISMS) and the stringent organizational security measures that are in place at AEL Data will play a key role in keeping TNA's data secure and out-of-bounds for the unauthorized. The combination of personnel, processes and policies involved in this task will be working in tandem to maintain the exemplary standards of operation and output that is a trademark of AEL Data.
